Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress, born in Berkeley on the 1st of October 1995. She is an acclaimed actress that has appeared on Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006,) and Chrissie Mayr's Content House.

Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film-maker and an actor family. Both professions she pursued herself. When she was nine the actress made her film debut in the role of Sergio Citti in Sogni e bisogni. The year 1988 saw her was the main part in Cristina Comencini's debut feature film Zoo (1988) in addition to also being a member of Michele's casting for The Church (1989). Later in the year, she was Nanni Moretti's daughter Red Wood Pigeon (1989) (also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992), written and directed by Michele Placido was the film which launched Asia's career path. Asia was able to transition from young girl roles to complex and mature roles. The film received an enthusiastic review at the Cannes International Film Festival. She's made three films along with her father, Trauma, The Stendhal syndrome, and Phantom of the Opera. The Phantom of the Opera is the third film she's made together with her father. The others being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's deeply absorbed and aggressive style of acting was well-used in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a Nozze in 1993. co-starred in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di Vista in which she played Arianna, a physically disabled girl. It was a complex, challenging character that earned her the David di Donatello for best actress . Patrice Chereau helmed Queen Margot and she was also in a key role. In 1995, Asia collaborated with Michel Piccoli to produce Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion, for which she was awarded a David di Donatello. Asia began directing short films in 1994. Two of them were made: Prospettive, 1996, she directed a documentary about her father, and Abel/Asia from 1998. Both focused on the legendary director Abel Ferrara. This latter was recognized at the Rome Film Festival. Asia started directing her first feature-length film in 1999, with Scarlet Diva (2000). The film also featured her as the principal performer, as well as the creator of the script. In May 2000, the movie was released both in Italy and across the world. The film won an award at the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York. Anna Lou was her first born child in the year 2001. After the directing of several music videos she had Anna Lou. In 2002 Asia appeared as a character in The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action thriller, which was directed by Vin Diesel. Asia has also been the author of a number of short stories, which have appeared in numerous famous magazines.
